Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Summer Internships

The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) announces 2009 Summer Internship Opportunities in Chicago for first year and second year law students. PILI Interns receive $5,000 for 10 weeks of work at one of 21 PILI affiliated agencies (listed below).

Beginning on December 1, 2009 the application period for Summer 2010 will open to first and second year law students. 

The following affiliated agencies will be hosting PILI summer interns in 2010:

  • Citizen Advocacy Center
  • Coordinated Advice & Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS)
  • Environmental Law and Policy Center of the Midwest
  • Equip for Equality 
  • Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund
  • Law Project of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless
  • Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing
  • Legal Aid Bureau
  • Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago
  • Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund
