Off-Campus Housing and Living in Chicago

Off-campus housing is the most popular choice among our students, who live in neighborhoods throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Many students enjoy participating in academic and social activities at the law school, but enjoy the separation between school and their personal lives.
This webpage offers resources from current students to incoming law students looking to get settled in the area. The “Housing Guide” offers tips on searching for an apartment, listings sites, and student opinions on neighborhoods. The “Living in Chicago” guide provides information on transportation, dining, shopping, and recreation.
A third resource is “Housing Day” which gives students the opportunity to come to Loyola and hear from a real estate agent, ask questions of current students, and even take tours of some of the Chicago neighborhoods. If you are interested in attending “Housing Day” on June 7, 2013, registration will be available in April. Finally, the “Roommate Network Directory” is offered by the Law Admission Office to assist students with finding classmates as potential roommates.
