"Remote access" is a phrase that describes access to Loyola resources by means other than using on-campus networked computer. This may include access from your home computer, from a computer in your residence hall room, or from your own laptop computer in one of Loyola's Wireless Zones. - Dial-In
A recent security update released by Microsoft may cause problems with Loyola’s dial up internet service, Loyola Connect. Security Update for Windows XP/ 2000 (KB911280) was released June 13, 2006. In particular, this update has been shown to cause 619 errors when attempting to dial in to Loyola Connect. It may be necessary to uninstall the update in question to resolve this error. This issue affects all versions of Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and some versions of Windows 2000. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and is working on a revised version of the update.
