Purchasing Outlook for Personal Use
Faculty and staff who are interested in purchasing a copy of Outlook's full client -- for a desktop computer at home or a personally owned laptop, for example -- can do so at a significant discount through Loyola's Varsity Buys program. - A downloadable copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 for Windows, which includes Outlook 2013, is available for only $19.95. Office 2013 is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8; Windows XP users can use Office 2010.

Purchasing Audio and Video Devices
Many of the new Lync features available as part of the March 2014 email upgrade require audio and video hardware -- a microphone, speakers, and camera. If you'll be using these features, you may need to purchase additional equipment. Many users already have stand-alone speakers or a Lenovo monitor with built-in speakers.
