ITS Green Initiative
~ Welcome to the Green Team ~
The ITS Green Team was created in the Fall of 2012 to help promote green practices within our department. Our awesome team meets monthly to promote initiatives geared toward a more sustainable work place. We also participate in the Campus Compost Collective Program which began in October 2012 to collect food and other compostable waste to be repurposed instead of sent to a landfill.
We are always in search of new ways to “Go Green!” and are looking for fun staff to join our initiative. Read on to see what we have been up to, and how you can get involved!

Car Sharing at Loyola
Did you know, as a Loyola employee, you can receive a discounted car-sharing membership with Enterprise/iGo cars? To learn more about this awesome program, visit the Enterprise Car Sharing Program website at: http://www.enterprisecarshare.com/car-sharing/program/luc.
Car sharing helps the environment by decreasing the number of cars on the road, thus reducing pollution and the use of natural resources including gas, oil, and manufacturing materials. Car sharing vehicles are also newer on average than most personal vehicles, meaning greater improvements in engine technology and fuel efficiency.
