Recently the Division of Student Development has worked with ITS to convert several of their applications for various student activities and honors from paper-based to online, also introducing features that allow administrators to process the data online. This presentation will discuss the process of developing these applications, as well as the impact the applications have had on the coordination of these programs.

Sakai project sites are designed to facilitate collaboration and are similar in function to Blackboard communities. Participants will learn how to create a project site, determine the tools to include within the site, select appropriate access privileges, and add collaborators to the site.

In this 2 part presentation you will learn how to identify and protect personal and sensitive information and how to avoid becoming the victim of common attempts to steal your identity. In the first part of the presentation, we'll touch briefly on PII; what it is, why it's important, and how Loyola goes about protecting it. One of the University Data Stewards will talk about what goes on in their department during a PII review. In part two we’ll deconstruct the phishing email giving you tips and hints to determine if a suspicious request is legitimate and how to react and report.
