In Blackboard 9, you can drag and drop a number of different items in order to rearrange them. This function is available anywhere you see a double-headed arrow icon: .

The following areas contain elements that have this drag and drop feature: Content Areas within the Course Menu, Folders/Items, Discussion Board Forums, and Test/Survey Questions. You can also rearrange modules on the Course Home Page: see Customizing your Course Home Page for instructions.

In order to reorder items:

1. Mouse over the double-headed arrow until your cursor turns into a four-headed arrow, then click on the arrow.
2. Holding down the mouse button, drag the item to relocate it within the list. Release your mouse to drop the item to the desired location; you will see a dashed rectangle where the item is being relocated.
   
   
   
   
   *Note that when reordering Discussion Forums, the dashed rectangle does not appear, instead the destination will change to light gray.
