adding files
You can easily post files, such as Word documents, PDFs, PowerPoint slides or narrated presentations to any Content Area within your Blackboard course.
Once you've logged into Blackboard, choose your course under My Courses on the Login page.
Make sure that

Choose Content from your course menu, or another Content Area that you would like to add a file to.

Click on the chevron next to Build Content to expand the drop-down menu. You can attach a document by selecting Item or File.
Creating an Item will enable you to include supplemental information with the file such as a description and additional attachments.
Creating a File provides a means to quickly upload a file and choose to have the content display within the course or in a new browser window.
Creating an Item
- After expanding the drop-down menu by clicking on the chevron, scroll down and select Item.

- In the Content Information area, provide a name for your document. You also have the option to change the name’s color and add a description.

- In the Attachments area, select Browse My Computer to search for your file to attach.
- In the Options area, you can adjust settings for content availability, tracking views and date and time restrictions.

- Click Submit to add the item.

Creating a File
- After expanding the drop-down menu by clicking on the chevron, scroll down and select File.

- In the Select File area, click Browse My Computer to search for your file to attach.
- Provide a name for your document. You also have the option to change the name’s color and add a description.
- Select Yes to display the content in a new browser window.
- In the Standard Options area, you can adjust settings for content availability, tracking views and date and time restrictions.

- Click Submit to add the file.
