Peer Group Comparisons
In consultation with Deans, various faculty groups, and university administration, Loyola has created two groups of institutions for comparison purposes. The comparable peer group comprises institutions (often referred to as "middleweights) that are similar to Loyola on a range of characteristics. The aspirational peer group comprises institutions (often referred to as "heavyweights) that Loyola aspires to be like, based on criteria such as retention rates, graduation rates, incoming freshman ACT/SAT scores, etc.
Data for comparison include descriptive statistics on a range of measures, including institutional size, structure, control, and composition; student and institutional academic measures; and student and institutional resources.
