Tim O’Connell is a specialist in Christian ethics, professional ethics, and the role of values in organizations. Tim O'Connell's work in ethics focuses on three areas: 1) principles of Christian and Catholic ethics along with approaches to moral decision-making; 2) professional ethics, with special attention to the counseling/psychotherapy and higher education professions; 3) the study of values as the drivers of personal and organizational life, along with strategies for making a difference in those settings. Tim is the author of twelve books and over fifty articles; he has taught and led workshops across the United States, Canada and Australia. He has taught at IPS for twenty-three years, while also exercising various leadership roles at Loyola. For twelve years he was Director of IPS and also previously served as Assistant Provost for Faculty Administration for the University.
