Professional & Community Affiliations

Paul is the Executive Director of the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association (NCYAMA), a national network and resource center for church leadership working with young adults in their 20s and 30s. He has consulted with and spoken to church leaders in over 250 dioceses, parishes, regional and national conferences, and Catholic organizations across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. From 2007 to 2010, he was a consultant and advisor to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and their committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life, and Youth. Through his work with NCYAMA, Paul has been an executive partner and collaborator on several national church initiatives including the Lilly-funded Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership and Eye on the Horizon Projects, the National Catholic Collegiate Conference, and the First National Encuentro de Pastoral Juvenil Hispana. Paul has been a contributing author to several books and publications including "Young Adult Ministry in a Box" edited by NCYAMA and Busted Halo Ministries (2012), "Young and Catholic in America" edited by Kevin Meme and Jeffrey Guhin (2010), and "The Next Generation of Pastoral Leaders: What the Church Needs to Know" edited by Marti Jewell and Dean Hoge (2010). He is a nationally syndicated columnist for "Faith Catholic" magazines, for which he received a Catholic Press Association award in 2011. Since 2006, Paul has been the Director of Young Adult Ministry in the Diocese of Joliet in Illinois. From 2003 to 2006, Paul was a parish young adult ministry coordinator at Holy Family Catholic Church in Inverness, Illinois.
