Matt has been an adjunct Instructor for Loyola IPS since 2009. He is a Theology teacher and athletic coach at Boylan Central Catholic High School in Rockford, IL. Matt teaches five sections of Ecclesiology/Church History and one section of Sacred Scripture. He was previously a teacher at Boylan from 1998-2004.
From 2004 - 2011, Matt was Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Rockford, IL. A majority of his time was spent training, teaching and facilitating lay ecclesial ministers, schools staffs, athletic coaches and youth in a variety of pastoral and theological topics. Nationally, he served on the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry’s task group on adolescent catechesis. Matt is co-author of the NFCYM Training In-Service:Strong Catholic Families: Strong Catholic Youth. In 2006, he completed a Handbook for Comprehensive Youth Ministry for every parish and school in Diocese of Rockford.
Matt also is a regular instructor for the Diocese of Rockford’s Lay Ministry Formation Program and the Diaconate Formation Program.
