Thomas E. Lovejoy, Ph.D.

Dr. Thomas Lovejoy is the current Biodiversity Chair at the Heinz Center for Science, Economics and the Environment based in Washington D.C., a Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason University, and a senior advisor to many organizations and institutions on environmental issues. He holds doctoral and bachelor of science degrees in biology from Yale University.
Dr. Lovejoy is interested in ecological issues and has published extensively in books, journals, periodicals and encyclopedias. His more recent works include the co-authored book Climate Change and Biodiversity (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2005), and The Growing Importance of Biological Diversity presented at the Satoyam Convention on Biological Diversity in 2012.
