The Loyola University Chicago Mentoring Experience, LUC & Me, is a voluntary, formal mentoring program for newly hired staff members.

The program matches newly hired employees, mentees, with experienced employees who will act as mentors. Each mentor will share his/her knowledge and experience in a one-on-one partnership with a mentee.

LUC & Me supports the University's initiative for employee diversity, retention and engagement.

LUC & Me is currently accepting new mentors and mentees for 2014. There are two six-month cycles in a year during which mentors and mentees will be paired.

LUC & Me is in the second cycle of 2014, with the program running from September 2014 through February 2015. If you are interested in participating in LUC & Me, please contact the Training and Development Department at 773-508-3964 or fill out the online form by clicking on the link above!

THE MENTEE

A mentee is a full-time staff member who has been employed with Loyola for less than six months and would benefit from the support of an experienced staff member.

THE MENTOR

A mentor is a full-time staff member in good standing, who typically has two years or more of work experience at Loyola. A mentor should have a good working knowledge of University policies and procedures and be dedicated to supporting and encouraging new staff, building the University community, and fostering Loyola's mission.
