A small number of staff will be needed on campus to provide primary support throughout this holiday period (campus safety, facilities, research, required end-of-month or end-of-year processing, etc.). Department managers will reach out shortly to staff needed with details regarding work scheduling.

The intent is for most University operations to be closed. However, supervisors may require employees to work, to perform critical functions required to be performed on those specific days. Work schedules should be set and approved by supervisors in advance.
Please review the below information regarding coding and completion of timecards for any days not worked during the University closure on December 27, 28 & 29, 2016.
- Hourly employees or their supervisor will need to manually select “Closure Pay” from the pay code list in KRONOS for each day not worked from Tuesday, December 27th through Thursday, December 29th.
- Exempt employees already have the “Closure Pay” days loaded into their timecard.
- Any staff member required to work the three closure days, should work with their supervisor on scheduling comparable time off within 45 days.
- After the 01/07/17 pay period ends, only Kronos supervisors/approvers will have the pay code “Closure Pay” available in their Kronos pay code list. This pay code will be available for 45 days and any employee needing to take comparable time off during these 45 days will need to ask their supervisor/manager to add the “Closure Pay” to their timecard.
