How to become a member of our Greek Community?

First, you must decide which organizations you are considering for membership. Check out the chapters on campus and their national organization’s websites for more information about each Greek organization at Loyola University Chicago.

Second, attend the Student Organization Fairs that are held at the beginning of each semester.  This is another great way to learn more about the different chapters and to meet the members.

After determining which organizations you may like to join, you must follow the specific guidelines for each councils' membership recruitment/intake process.  Below you will find a description of when each council holds its membership process and who to contact to find out more information.

For the fraternities and sororities of the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), attending the “Meet the Greeks” event in the fall is the best way to go. If you can not make it to this event or you are interested in joining in the spring you will need to contact the organizations directly and research the national organizations websites. Contact individual chapters for more information.

For Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternities there is formal Fall Recuritment and informal Spring Recruitment.  Contact Ted Vlahos, IFC Recruitment chair for more information.

For
National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities there is formal Fall Recuritment and informal Spring Recruitment. Contact Kristen Kopp, Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment, for more information.
