Help with future events and programs for the Graduate School alumni! Currently open positions include: Secretary, Committee Chairperson for Student Mentoring (Research Symposium), and Committee Chairperson for Alumni Relations and Communication. MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the Graduate School Alumni Group (GSAG) of Loyola University Chicago (LUC) is to serve the needs of students, past and present, by means of development activities that promote continuing commitment to the shared Jesuit character and tradition for knowledge enhancement in the service of humanity and God. The GSAG Mission is to promote the community of alumni through networking opportunities, continual professional development, reciprocation of knowledge by graduate student mentoring, and other collegial endeavors. In line with the LUC and Graduate School Missions, GSAG fosters projects that build community, promotes social justice, advancement in rigors of scientific inquiry, interdisciplinary research opportunities, and reaffirmation to the spirit of freedom and ethical behavior, across the continuum of Loyola relationship levels.
PURPOSE
The GSAG’s purpose is to advance its alumni community of scholars as a group of individuals reflecting the Jesuit heritage of the university.
GOALS
The GSAG has developed the following global aspirations and goals:
- Promote a professional networking group among Graduate School alumni.
- Recruit, retain, and support the development of students through mentoring and other collaborative endeavors in the Jesuit tradition.
- Encourage, promote, maintain, and perpetuate the friendships and personal associates established by attendance and pursuit of study at LUC.
- Promote a collegial professional development and graduate student mentoring infrastructure for ongoing knowledge cultivation and potential research opportunities with GSAA membership.
- Foster a continuous relationship between the alumni and the Graduate School’s respective academic programs.
