TUESDAY, NOV. 13
Centennial Forum Student Union • Bremner Lounge
11:30 am–1 pm
The Loyola community is invited to come for lunch and participate in language conversations. Student moderators will host the tables, where participants can meet others who speak the same language and celebrate their international education. Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and Italian languages will be represented. Sample international treats from local bakeries and enjoy a cup of coffee at the international coffee bar.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 14
International Education Photo Contest & Cultural Fashion Show - CANCELED
Unfortunately, the fashion show has been canceled due to low student interest. The gallery portion of the event has been moved to Friday; photographs will be on display during the hour prior to the evening's entertainment. We apologize for any inconvenience.

International Movie Night: “Daughter from Danang”
Cudahy Library • Room 318 (movie theater)
A heartbreaking documentary that upsets your expectations of happily-ever-afters, “Daughter from Danang” is a riveting emotional drama of longing, identity, and the personal legacy of war. Movie snacks provided.

Celebration of Cultures
Centennial Forum Student Union • Lobby
Join in the celebration! Enjoy international cuisine while watching performances from around the globe. Meet other international students and hear their stories through photos and essays—and share your experiences as well. Plus, photo and essay contest winners will be named.
IEW Essay and Photo Contests
The Graduate School and Office of International Programs invite graduate and undergraduate students to enter the International Education Week contests. There are two categories to choose from: essay or photo contest.
Prizes range from $100 - 200. Submission deadline is Thursday, Nov. 8.
Winners will be announced at the Celebration of Cultures on the evening of Friday, November 16. Students must be present to win.
International Education Week is supported by The Graduate School and Office of International Programs.

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education. IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This annual initiative aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange by encouraging the development of programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States.
