Michael J. Boyle, Ph.D. was appointed Director of the Andrew M. Greely Center for Catholic Education on January 7, 2015.

With the appointment of Lorraine A. Ozar, Ph.D. to the Andrew M. Greeley Endowed chair of Catholic Eduation, Michael J. Boyle, Ph.D. has been named as the director of the Andrew M. Greeley Center for Catholic Education.  Prior to this appointment, Dr. Boyle has worked in the Center as the Assistant Director.  He has served as principal in a large Catholic elementary school in addition to working in a variety of other educational roles.  Dr. Boyle was recently named the 2014 recipient of the C. Albert Koob Merit Award from the National Catholic Education Association for significant contributions to Catholic education. 

Additionally, Dr. Boyle is the author of the “Sustaining Outstanding Schools” column, published in the NCEA Notes newsletter. The National Catholic Education Association published Dr. Boyle’s book, Response to Intervention: A Framework for Catholic Schools, in April 2010. He has also contributed a chapter on professional development to the book, Scholarly Essays on Catholic School Leadership: Research and Insights on Attaining the Mission of Catholic Schools (NCEA, 2012).
