The staff at FYE is comprised of both full-time university employees and part-time student workers. We work together to bring you comprehensive support and services as you navigate through your first year and beyond.
Bridget Wesley, MA, LCSW
Bridget received her B.A. from Boston College and M.A. from the University of Chicago. She has worked for the Office of First Year Experience at Loyola since 2007. As a graduate of a Jesuit University, Bridget is enthusiastic about infusing all elements of First-Year Experience with a deep sense of Jesuit tradition and values.
Mary King, M.Ed.
Mary has been on staff at LUC since 2013, and she's a double alum after earning both her B.S. and M.Ed. at Loyola. Mary heads up the Orientation program for new and transfer students, and she loves helping them transition to campus as they figure out how to make Loyola their home.
Scott Harris, MA
Scott started in the Office of First-Year Experience in 2012 and has both his B.A. and M.A. from Loyola University Chicago. Scott works with Loyola's transfer student population to help promote their success in a holistic way. He is always excited to meet new students and work with them to make the most of their Loyola experience.
Martin earned his bachelors in Business Administration-Management from UNC-Charlotte. He is currently pursuing a Masters in the School of Education at LUC. Martin joined First Year Experience in the early summer of 2014 but has been at Loyola since July of 2013. A resident of Rogers Park, he enjoys the community feel that the students and faculty/staff provide the area. Martin is enjoying his role in the further development of FYE's Transitions group, knowing that a support system for first year Loyola students can be valuable to those in need of upper-classman advice and knowledge.
Omega Styles, M.B.A, M.Ed.
Omega received her B.S. in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University, an M.B.A from DeVry University and an M.Ed. in Counseling from DePaul University. She has worked in the Office of First Year Experience at Loyola since May 2014. Omega enjoys providing academic programs and support for all incoming students. Omega is committed to implementing programs that are holistic, transformative and engaging.
Erin is a senior from German Valley, IL and studying Environmental Science. Over the past three years, she’s been involved as a Program Assistant and Orientation Leader with the orientation program, led service groups with Loyola 4 Chicago, served as Team Leader for Hunger Week, and researched waste water with Loyola’s Biodiesel Lab.
Salina is a Junior from Saint Charles, IL and studying Nursing with a minor in Theology. She is the president of the Class of 2016 Nursing Council and was a Program Assistant and Orientation Leader with the orientation program in First-Year Experience.
Alejandro is a junior at Loyola and works in the office of First-Year Experience.

Hi! I’m Nellie. I am a junior, majoring in Psychology/Pre-med. I am from Melrose Park, Illinois. I’m a member of Alpha Chi Omega, and serve as the assistant social chair. Kelsey is a sophomore from Philadelphia, PA and studying a double major in Advertisement/Public Relations and Visual Communication. Over the past year she has served, and continues to serve, as a senator on the Unified Student Government Association, and she is also secretary of the Swim Club. In her first year she was a Freshman Ambassador in the office of Undergraduate Admission and joined the First-Year Experience in August of 2014.
