Associate Provost for Academic Services

Fr. Daffron has been working with first-year students at Loyola since 2007. As Associate Provost, Fr. Daffron works to ensure that all Loyola students have access to quality services to help them achieve success inside and outside the classroom. He also teach a Loyola Seminar (UNIV 102) each Spring.

Bridget Wesley, MA, LCSW
Director

Bridget received her B.A. from Boston College and M.A. from the University of Chicago. She has worked for the Office of First Year Experience at Loyola since 2007. As a graduate of a Jesuit University, Bridget is enthusiastic about infusing all elements of First-Year Experience with a deep sense of Jesuit tradition and values.

Chelsea Ruff, M.Ed.
Assistant Director, Orientation

Chelsea started in the Office of First-Year Experience in June of 2011. After earning her Bachelor's in Sociology in 2006 and her Master's in Student Affairs in 2008 from the University of South Florida, she has dedicated the last five years to orientation programming and serving the first-year freshmen and transfer student populations. Chelsea is responsible for coordinating the Orientation program, training and supervising the Orientation Leaders staff, and for assisting in the facilitation of the first-year experience.

Scott Harris, MA
Assistant Director, Transfer Support Services

Scott started in the Office of First-Year Experience in 2012 and has both his B.A. and M.A. from Loyola University Chicago. Scott works with Loyola's transfer student population to help promote their success in a holistic way. He is always excited to meet new students and work with them to make the most of their Loyola experience.

Karladora Chavez, M.Ed.
Program Coordinator, Summer Scholars

Karladora earned her M.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago, specializing in Student Affairs. She has worked for Loyola developing the Summer Scholars program since 2006. Karladora's previous youth-oriented summer career includes positions with Suffolk University's Summer Institutes, the Institute for the Academic Advancement of Youth program (specifically the Center for the Talented Youth programs at Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, and Mount Holyoke College), and Arizona State University's Summer Bridge Program.

As a member of the Office of First Year Experience, she is excited to continue to expand upon the pre-college summer programs offered here at Loyola University Chicago.
