First-Year Experience

Cristo Rey Students

Cristo Rey Network Alumni

All Loyola students who graduated from a Cristo Rey Network school anywhere in the country are part of the community of Cristo Rey Network Alumni (CRNA) at Loyola. All CRNA are invited to participate in our activities and supportive programming throughout the year.

CRNA Program includes:

  • Welcome reception with Loyola President, Fr. Garanzini, SJ each August
  • Regular meetings with CRNA Advisor, Bridget Wesley, and CRNA community
  • Retreats
  • Study Tables (Sunday – Thursday nights, 6–10 p.m.)
  • Mentor program
  • Spirituality Days
  • Community building activities in Chicago
  • Assistance in finding on-campus job in first year
  • Invitation to leadership opportunities in First-Year Experience office and around campus

We find that our CRNA who participate fully in our program and community, and find additional ways to connect to campus opportunities, enjoy great successes both in and outside the classroom.

In addition, Loyola offers a Cristo Rey Scholarship for incoming graduates of Cristo Rey Network high schools. Interested students should contact Loyola's Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 773.274.3000.
