Financial Aid Office

Outreach

Loyola University is dedicated to providing valuable financial aid information to those students seeking to enroll in college.  As the fall approaches, many high school seniors begin researching and applying for colleges. This can be an overwhelming process for students, especially when it comes to finances and financial aid.

Our office is available to assist in educating local students in the financial aid process.  We offer a variety of presentations and are also willing to partner with you in designing presentations that meet the specific needs of your students and community.  Tammy Patterson and Janelle Wade can work with you to tailor a presentation that fits your needs.

Presentations

Be Informed: Get Basic Information on How to Apply for Financial Aid

Topics such as what are the benefits of attending college; outside scholarships and what financial aid opportunities are available to college students will be discussed.  Information will be provided regarding the different types of financial aid.  During this presentation, students will be provided with information regarding the steps to completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Deadlines will also be emphasized.  In addition, appropriate applications and handouts will be available.  This presentation is recommended for juniors and seniors who plan on attending college.  It is also intended for youth and adults, in the community, who will be attending college soon.
(available Fall 2011)

FAFSA Workshop - Completing the FAFSA

The FAFSA workshop is intended for students and parents ready to file the FAFSA.  Workshop consists of a brief overview of financial aid process and programs, and focuses on reviewing the FAFSA line-by-line.  Assistance in completing the FAFSA and individual questions will be addressed.  For optimal assistance in completing the FAFSA, it is recommended that students and parents have the necessary 2011 tax documents on hand.
