If this is the first time you are borrowing a federal loan at Loyola, such as a Federal Direct Stafford Loan, Direct Graduate PLUS Loan, or a Federal Perkins Loan, you must complete an entrance loan counseling session before you can receive any loan funds. 

You can complete entrance counseling online following one of the links below. You will be asked to enter the Loyola University Chicago school code, which is 001710. Upon completion, Loyola is electronically notified.

For students with Federal Perkins Loans: You will do the entrance counseling at the same time you sign the online promissory note for your loan.

• Federal Direct Stafford and Direct Graduate PLUS Loan: Graduate Counseling
• Federal Perkins Loan/Nursing Student Loan
