Student Employment

Federal Work Study (FWS)

This federally funded, campus-based program offers campus and community-service employment to students demonstrating financial need. Most first-year students work between 10-15 hours per week and are generally eligible to earn up to $2,000 during the academic year.

If you are eligible for FWS as part of your financial aid award, the FWS award represents the maximum amount that you can earn. FWS employees are paid at least the current federal minimum wage and receive a paycheck every two weeks. The funds are NOT applied to the student's university account.

Regular University Employment

This employment program is funded through the university. Students do not need to demonstrate financial need in order to qualify for employment. Employees are paid at least the current federal minimum wage and receive a paycheck every two weeks. The funds are not applied to the student's university account.

Job Listings

Federal Work-Study and regular university employment for students is coordinated through RamblerLink, the Career Center's online student registration and job/internship system. Position openings for FWS and Non-FWS on-campus and community employment can be found through your RamblerLink account housed in the Career Development Center.

When looking for jobs, check back often!  Job listings are updated continuously as positions become available.

Most fall jobs are advertised at the end of summer, right before the beginning of classes.

New students starting in the Fall generally should begin the job search at/around the beginning of the semester. Students do not have to have a job secured upon arriving on campus in the fall.
