Michelle Kusel joined the CEL team in October 2012 as the Academic Internship Program Manager. The following year, she assumed the role of ePortfolio Program Manager. She believes in transformative education and its ability to inform student learning. In 2003, she graduated from Marquette University with an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering. After working professionally for five years, she completed studies for her M.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago.
Michelle is a life-long learner and educator and has published both research and light-hearted educational pieces in the Journal of College Student Development and About Campus. Michelle serves as the editor for Concepts and Connections, a publication for leadership educators. She has been recognized by the American College Personnel Association as an Annuit Coeptis Award winner. This award embraces a spirit of personal and professional sharing, high good humor, and thoughtful intellectual debate. All of which Michelle attempts to bring into her daily work.
In her time away from the CEL and professional contributions, Michelle enjoys running her small business where she designs and creates handmade greeting cards.
