English as a Second Language

Service Learning

Group urban farming Spring 2014

We offer many opportunities to participate in service work throughout Chicago.  Service learning has several goals:

        Giving back to the community.

        Having authentic English experiences.

        Learning a new skill.

Students will have the chance to participate once or twice a semester or once a week.  We are willing to help students perform as many service hours as they want.  The following places are just a few examples of place that host students.

A Just Harvest - http://www.ajustharvest.org/

Caring Connections for Seniors - http://www.caringconnectionsforseniors.org/

Inspiration Café - http://www.inspirationcorp.org/
