Housing Options

Loyola’s ELLP students can choose from a variety of housing options. The following are the most common:

  1. Living on Campus
If you are interested in living in Loyola Housing, please review your options on the Residence Life Webpage—http://www.luc.edu/reslife/index.shtml

All questions regarding on-campus housing can be directed to this e-mail: res-life@luc.edu
  2. Homestay
Some students enjoy the experience of living with an American family. If you are interested in this option, please visit https://www.homestay.com/http://www.chicagohomestaysearch.com/, http://www.homestaynetwork.com, or www.myinternationalfamily.com.
  3. Living Off Campus
There are many housing options off-campus. One in particular that is a good choice for our ESL students is an apartment building called The Sovereign. For more information, please visit their website: http://www.thesovereign.com/.

Loyola University Chicago’s ELLP Program aims to provide students with housing options both within the university and within the city of Chicago. The ESL Program, however, makes no guarantee as to the suitability of houseguests or accommodations. The ELLP Program is not responsible for any problems that arise from these accommodations. If you have questions about a particular neighborhood, feel free to e-mail esl@luc.edu.

  4. International House:
The International House is not part of Loyola’s Residence life department but many students enjoy living in a community with International Students. http://www.luc.edu/oip/i-house/
