Grant Activity Highlights

  • Teaching with Primary Resources (TPS) -Library of Congress Grant for $1.1 Million
  • Chicago Teacher Partnership Program (CTPP)-$16.4 million grant to increase capacity in identified teacher shortage areas
  • Early Childhood Grant - $1.25 million to train early childhood educators to improve the services for children with disabilities
  • Chicagoland Partners for English Language Learners (CPELL) – $2 million grant to prepare educators to further develop their knowledge and skills in the education of English Language Learners
  • Chicago Community Trust - $100,000 grant to support the redesign of our teacher education program to a field-based model for both undergraduate and graduate students. Integral to this grant project was establishing strong PK-12 and community partnerships to participate in the design of the program and to play a significant role in preparing new teachers
