Student Teaching

Student Teaching is the culminating experience of the program. The capstone of teacher preparation is guided practice in the actual activity of teaching. Student teaching also gives the prospective teacher the opportunity to blend theory and practice and to develop an individual teaching style.

Applications must be submitted a year in advance of the semester in which you plan to student teach. The deadlines are:

* Mandatory pre-student teaching meeting 2 - 3 weeks prior to the application deadline.  Will be notified by e-mail with specific dates and information.  If you cannot attend this meeting, please contact the Clinical Coordinator directly to make alternative meeting arrangements.
