M.Ed. in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies

The MEd degree program in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies is intended for people interested in educational policy analysis at local and global levels.  Through challenging and engaging coursework with faculty members who are leaders in their fields, graduates of the MEd in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies will be able to critically assess the methodological, epistemological and ethical foundations of research.  Graduates will develop expertise in a focused domain of educational practice (domestic or global), including specific skills and competencies needed in work related to education policy.  They will be sophisticated users of educational research, equipped with data-driven decision-making skills and able to leverage cultural analyses and social justice frameworks in their work to improve educational experiences and institutions.

All Cultural and Educational Policy Studies degree programs share the distinctive focus of providing a multi-disciplinary examination of education policy and practice with an overarching emphasis on social justice.
