Certification Programs

The School of Education's certification programs are designed for students who already hold an initial teaching or school service personnel certificate. Certification programs fulfill the State of Illinois educational requirements and prepare students to take the accompanying certification exams.

Certification Programs requiring a minimum of a master's degree:

• Type 73 School Counseling Endorsement
  (Candidates must also hold a valid teaching certificate or complete three additional education courses.)
• Type 75 Superintendent Endorsement

Certification Programs requiring a minimum of a bachelor's degree:

• Behavior Intervention Specialist Endorsement
• English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Reading Teacher Endorsement
