Undocumented Student Ally Safe Space Training

(Audience: undergraduate and graduate students)
On June 15, 2012, the Obama administration announced DREAM act-eligible individuals could apply for Deferred Action.  In light of this announcement, the Department of Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs created a training for Loyola University Chicago students with the goal to learn more about the history, struggles and needs of Undocumented students.  This training aims to bring awareness, build safe spaces, and provide allies with resources to support Undocumented students within Loyola University Chicago. In addition, you will learn about the process of Deferred Action and the requirements necessary to qualify. The fall 2013 training will be held on the Lakeshore Campus and snacks will be provided for participants in the morning: 
Date:  Friday, November 1, 2013
Time:  9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location:  IC 4th Floor, Lakeshore Campus
