Safe Space Workshops are introductory sessions that work to assist individuals who wish to support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex (LGBTQI) community of Loyola University Chicago. 

Safe Space Workshops cover the following:

  • Definitions, terms, and symbols
  • LGBTQI identity development
  • Skills to interrupt heterosexist and cissexist behaviors and attitudes
  • Resources for the LGBTQI communities

Safe Space Training Dates:

Students

Monday, February 16th, 6–9 p.m. (Beane Hall at Water Tower Campus)

Faculty/Staff

Tuesday, January 27th, 9 a.m.–noon (IC 4th Floor, Lake Shore Campus)

Combined Session (Faculty/Staff and Students)

Tuesday, April 14th, Noon–3 p.m. (IC 4th Floor, Lake Shore Campus)
