The "Game of Change" occurred when the Loyola men's basketball team played in a 1963 NCAA Regional game against Mississippi State University, which forever changed college basketball and civil rights. Coach Ireland and the Loyola University teams of the early 1960's are considered by many to be responsible for ushering in a new era of racial equality in the sport by shattering all color barriers in NCAA men's basketball. After the screening, students will have the opportunity to meet and connect with the members of Loyola's 1963 National Championship team. There will be free pizza, soda prizes, and giveaways throughout the night! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org in Athletics for more information.
