Jennifer Beazley Leonard is the Office Assistant of the Fine & Performing Arts Department.  She is also an instructor for the Beginner Piano Class.

Jennifer Leonard is a 2002 graduate of Loyola University Chicago.  While a student at Loyola, Jennifer was the rehearsal and performance accompanist for the University Chorus.  She also accompanied vocalists, including two senior recitals.  She also played the piano for the morning Liturgical Choir.  She sang with the evening Liturgical Choir under the direction of Dr. Rudy Marcozzi, and also served as the student librarian for the choir.  Jennifer studied piano with Sr. Judith Dewell, BVM, and performed a senior recital in the spring of 2002.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Honors Degree, a Music major and History minor.

Upon graduation, Jennifer worked for a non-profit organization for a year and sang with the choir at the Chicago parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, under the direction of Mr. Paul French.  In 2003 Jennifer returned to school to earn her Master’s degree, attending Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music in Pittsburgh, PA.

At Duquesne Jennifer studied Piano Performance with Mr. David Allen Wehr and Piano Pedagogy with Sr. Carol Reilly.  Jennifer was a teaching assistant for the beginning piano courses as well as a graduate assistant to the Director of Career Services, Amanda Ford.  Her academic performance at Duquesne led to her being named to Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honors Society.  She wrote her graduate thesis on Chicago composer, William Ferris (1937-2000), and performed one of his piano pieces during her Master’s piano recital.

While in graduate school, Jennifer was the rehearsal and performance accompanist for the Pittsburgh area Tri-County Children's Chorus. She was also the Music Director at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in North Hundington, PA.

After graduation in 2005, Jennifer moved back to Chicago and began working and teaching at Loyola.  She also rejoined the choir at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  This past summer she joined the Mt. Carmel music staff as an organist.  Recently married, Jennifer lives in Chicago with her husband, Travis Leonard.
