Drawing & Painting Major & Minor

Major in drawing and painting

A total of 42 credit hours are required for the major in Drawing or Painting. Requirements include 12 credit hours in foundations, 6 credit hours in art history, 18 hours in applied drawing and painting including Painting I (FNAR 114), Drawing II (FNAR 213), Painting II (FNAR 214), Figure Studio (FNAR 235), Studio Workshop Advanced Drawing & Painting (FNAR 311) and one of either Photography I (FNAR 115) or Printmaking I (FNAR 118) or Watercolor Techniques (FNAR 119). In addition students must take Seminar of Art and Ideas (390) and Senior Exhibition Preparation (398).

A total of 18 credit hours are required for the minor in Drawing and Painting. Requirements include Two Dimensional Design (FNAR 112),  Drawing I (FNAR 113), Painting I (FNAR 114), Drawing II (FNAR 213), 3 hours of Art History, and your choice of Painting II (FNAR 214) or Figure Studio (FNAR 235).
