What Attracted Me to CURL:

I first heard about CURL while volunteering at the Organization of the Northeast in Uptown. CURL’s core values of equality and social justice are values that I share. In addition, I believe that collaboration with all community stakeholders is integral to the promotion of strength and stability in communities. I am very excited to be a part of CURL this semester and to have access to the knowledge and expertise held by the CURL team.

What I Hope to Gain from CURL:

I hope to gain skills needed to promote equality and security in communities. My work on asset mapping in Evanston has already given me valuable experience. The development of an interactive map of social services has the potential to help residents achieve security and stability. I look forward to getting feedback on the efficacy of this project.
