During the weekend of March 9 and 10, the mansion will host a “Weekend on Art and Architecture of Cuneo Mansion and Gardens,” honoring Benjamin Marshall, the architect who designed the mansion, as well as Samuel Insull, the mansion’s original owner and founder of the General Electric Company. Benjamin Marshall and Italian Villas will be led by Jonathon Canning, Loyola University Museum of Art’s Chief Curator. March 10 will feature two lectures that will take place between 2-4:30 p.m. Architect Benjamin Marshall will be led by Lynette Bremer, a Benjamin Marshall scholar and Samuel Insull and The House That ComEd Built will be led by Amanda Graue, Education Coordinator at Cuneo Mansion. Sunday's lectures will include refreshments and a tour of the mansion.
