Research Assistant II
Mary (MaryBeth) Talbot is a doctoral student in Applied Social Psychology program at Loyola University Chicago. Her master’s thesis examined the relationship between victim impact statements, judge’s instructions, and race on sentencing decisions. Her dissertation topic is on HIV related stigma and patterns of disclosure in the HIV+ community. Additionally, she is interested in applying social psychological knowledge to “real world” settings such as education, public health, and the justice system with the hopes of solving problems and improving outcomes within these institutions. In addition to research, MaryBeth has taught several undergraduate courses in psychology at Loyola.
