Leo Irakliotis hold a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Colorado State and a MSc in Physics from Miami University. After a brief term as a research engineer for MCI, he joined the University of Chicago where he directed the professional programs in computer science. After that, Dr. Irakliotis has held positions as professor, dean, and provost at Nova Southeastern University, Western Governors University, and Becker College. His main academic interests include high-performance networks, data science, and technology and learning. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Department of Labor, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This fall, Dr. Irakliotis is teaching COMP 346/446: Telecommunications.
