Requirements for the MS in Computer Science:
Required courses:
- COMP 417 -- Social, Ethical and Legal Issues in Computing
- COMP 460 -- Algorithms and Complexity
Restricted Electives Any two of the following three courses
- COMP 413 -- Intermediate Object-Oriented Development
- COMP 443 -- Computer Networks
- COMP 439 -- Distributed Systems
Any Six unrestricted elective courses from among
- 400 level courses with COMP and CSIS prefixes, and
- BIOL 470 -- Biostatistics and Experimental Design
- BIOL 488 -- Bioinformatics
- MATH 421 -- Mathematical Modeling, Simulation and Performance
- MATH 423 -- Combinatorics
Not more than six credits can be taken by students by way of COMP 490: Independent Project and COMP 499: Internship
