Where We Work

Community Relations...in the Community!

With our offices located directly in the Lake Shore and Water Tower campus-communities, the Department of Community Relations at Loyola University Chicago is in a great position to be a known and recognizable force in the community in which it resides, and our office strives to do just that.

Through our work, we strive to develop personal relationships with community businesses and leaders, promote Loyola's name and good work within the community, and introduce students to what their new campus neighborhood has to offer. We work to create a annual publication entitled Ramblin' Around as a guide to the neighborhood surrounding Loyola's campuses. which serves a creative tool to help students get acclimated to their new surroundings, as well as an opportunity to patronize the restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. that comprise our unique Chicago neighborhood.

Through the work of our dedicated staff and interns, Loyola University Chicago is well represented in the communities of both our Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses through various community-organized events and programs.

Take a minute and browse through our picture galleries which vividly depict Loyola's active role in the community through various fun and engaging community events and programs.
