Selection of Student Speaker
Candidates interested in delivering the student Commencement speech should apply by Friday, February 19, 2016. The student should be a part of the graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 12, and the speech should be three to five minutes in length (approximately 700–850 words).
Ideally the speech should reflect on the experiences of graduates at a Jesuit university. Interested candidates should file a letter of intent, along with a draft of their speech, to Dr. Susan Ries (undergraduates) or Katherine Acles (graduate students) in Schreiber Center, Suite 320. Please include a phone number and your LUC e-mail address where you may be contacted during the academic year.
The Commencement Committee will notify the selected student in early March.
