FAQ

Q: Do I need tickets to attend the Ceremony?

A: The only ceremonies that require tickets are both of the College of Arts & Sciences ceremonies and the Quinlan School of Business ceremony.

 Q: How early should I arrive on campus?

A: Doors to Gentile open 1 hour before each ceremony. Because of traffic it is encouraged that you arrive 45 minutes before the ceremony. The walk to Gentile Arena from either parking garage or any of the public transit stops is between 7 and 10 minutes. 

 Q: Where do I park?

A: Parking on campus is extremely limited and it is encouraged that you find alternative methods of transportation if possible. However, if you do drive to campus parking is available in either parking structure and on several pay to park lots around campus.

Q: Are accommodations made for guests with disabilities? 

A: Yes, the University has done its best to accomodate those individuals with disabilities.

Q: What happens after the Commencement Ceremony?

A:  There is an Alumni Welcome Reception after each ceremony for graduates (location is TBD). This is also where graduates and their families can take photos after the ceremony.

 Q: Can I bring a stroller into Gentile Arena?

A: Unfortunately due to safety concerns we do not allow strollers of any type (umbrella or folding) into Gentile Arena. We ask that you please leave them in car or at home as there will not be anywhere to leave it during the ceremony. 

Q: How long are the Commencement ceremonies?

A: Commencement usually lasts around 90 minutes.
