This pass allows one car into the main garage for the duration of the ceremony. Students can pick up these passes from their dean’s office.

Parking in the main structure for all other ceremonies is free and does not require a parking pass.

Loyola’s Campus Safety works closely with the Chicago Police Department to manage traffic during Commencement weekend. Please adhere to all instructions given by these officers as they strive to ensure the safety of all our graduates and their families.

Only guests of graduates from the College of Arts & Sciences, Institute of Environmental Sustainability, the Quinlan School of Business, and the Stritch School of Medicine need tickets to enter the arena. All other ceremonies are open admission, and no ticket is required.

Each College of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Environmental Sustainability and Quinlan School of Business graduate will receive four tickets for his or her guests. These tickets are selected when graduates register to participate in the Commencement ceremony. All guests, including small children, must have a ticket.

Extra tickets for these ceremonies are not available. Due to the large sizes of our graduating classes, we cannot offer any more than four tickets to graduates.

It is recommended that graduates needing extra tickets ask fellow students to see if they have tickets they no longer need.

Seating is assigned by section for these ceremonies, and the graduates will select their sections when they register to participate in Commencement.

After completing the ticket selection process, students will receive a confirmation e-mail from “tix.com” with a link to print off their tickets. They can either print the tickets off and give them to you or forward you the confirmation email so you can print them off.

Please note:

  • Each ticket contains an individual barcode that cannot be duplicate. Any ticket that is copied will not scan correctly, and that individual will not be allowed to enter Gentile Arena.
  • You must present a physical paper ticket at the door in order to be admitted. Our ticket scanners cannot read tickets on a phone or other mobile device, and you will not be allowed to enter the Gentile Arena.
  • Selling tickets to Commencement ceremonies is in violation of University policy. Please report any student selling Commencement tickets to your graduate’s dean office.

Guests will not be allowed to approach the stage during the ceremony in order to take photos and/or videos. We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to ensure the safety of all graduates and guests.

Photos: Grad Images will take photos of each student during the ceremony that will be available for purchase. A free photo proof and mail form will be mailed to graduates a few weeks after the ceremony. Graduates may also view their photo proofs online.
