Jade Gary joins the Child Trafficking Program at the Center for the Human Rights of Children as a 2014 Summer Research Fellow. Jade developed an interest in children’s legal rights during her time as an early childhood teacher in Las Vegas while pursuing a Masters of Education at the University of Nevada- Las Vegas. She is now entering her final year of law school at Loyola University Chicago where she has expanded her interests in international human rights and children’s legal rights issues, specifically various forms of child trafficking. This year she completed two scholarly articles to be published by Loyola’s International Law Review and Children’s Legal Rights Journal. The former explores legislative efforts aimed at international adoption while the latter focuses on providing education to juvenile ex-offenders.
