Service Opportunity in Rogers Park Preschools

Loyola

Are you passionate about education? Do you enjoy working with and supporting young children? Do you believe ALL children have the right to a high quality early education? If so, please consider applying to Loyola's Jumpstart program!

Jumpstart students, also called Corps Members, volunteer weekly in local preschools, helping to support the language and early literacy development of 3-, 4-, and 5-year old children. Corps Members receive a $1,175 education award upon completion of their term of service, as well as ongoing training and hands-on experience in the early childhood education field! Most importantly, Corps Members have the unique opportunity to bring positive change and make a lasting impact on the lives of Rogers Park's youngest students.

Jumpstart is currently accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year; applications can be found here:https://application2011-2012.jstart.org/ . Make sure to select the 2013-2014 school year from the drop-down menu. Applications will be accepted until December 31st, 2013.

No background in the field of education or related experience is required, just a commitment to improving the lives of preschoolers in Rogers Park.

Please visit Jumpstart's website at www.jstart.org , and email Jessica Young, Jumpstart Site Manager, at jyoung10@luc.edu for more detailed information on the program.
