Event: Nelson Algren Short Story Awards

Since 1986, the Chicago Tribune has run the Nelson Algren Short Story Awards Contest, a national competition that has supported the careers of many authors, including Loyola’s own David Michael Kaplan.  Kaplan, a recipient of the award in past years, is a professor with the Department of English and will participate in a discussion with other past winners on Wednesday, January 23, 7 p.m.  For more information and to register, please visit: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/4970266200#.
