Cam Helkowski is the associate director of the CDC. She has been involved in higher education for more than 35 years and at Loyola University Chicago since 1984. Her roles here have included counselor, instructor, and administrator. Cam is the co-author of several articles and books about college students, including: Connect College to Career: A Student’s Guide to Work and Life Transitions with Paul Hettich and The College Student Counseling Treatment Planner with Chris Stout and Art Jongma. She is also a highly evaluated speaker who has presented at conferences and throughout the US and Canada. Her life outside of Loyola includes sharing as much time as possible with her very large family. Cam earned a MEd in counseling psychology from Loyola University Chicago and a BA in psychology and sociology from DePaul University.
Cam has completed the following Loyola University Chicago staff/faculty trainings: Safe Space (LGBTQI), I'm Here For You (Survivors of Dating Violence), Share the Dream: Undocumented Ally Training.
