Meal Plans for resident students

The Campus Card Office works in conjunction with the Department of Residence Life and Dining Services to provide meal plans for those students living in residence halls. When a student signs a housing contract, he/she indicates a particular meal plan. Students can use the meal plan at Center Stage Cafe, Connections Cafe, Lakeshore Dining, Nina's Cafe, Rambler Room, Simpson Dining, SouthSide Market, Terry Center Food Court, and Union Station.

When selecting a meal plan, students should consider the lowest meal plan option available to them. Until the end of the first week of classes, a student may submit a Meal Plan Change Request Form.

Flex Dollars and Declining Balance funds carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year.

Students should choose the meal plan that best fits their lifestyle from the following list of meal plans and rates for the 2012-2013 academic year:

Board Plans

Please note: Board Meal Plans can only be used at Lakeshore Dining and Simpson Dining.

The Platinum ($2,095/semester)
19 meals per week + $200 Flex Dollars per semester
Designed for those who like three meals a day, this plan provides the student with all 19 meals offered: breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday - Friday, brunch and dinner on weekends. In addition, you receive $200 in Flex Dollars per semester. This plan is available to all students.

The Gold ($2,035/semester)
14 meals per week + $200 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who are more likely to eat only 14 traditional meals per week. In addition, you receive $200 in Flex Dollars per semester. This plan is available to all students.

The Silver ($1,680/semester)
10 meals/week plus $250 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who will use the dining facilities casually throughout the week, for no more than 10 meals. In addition, you receive $250 in Flex Dollars per semester. This plan is available to sophomore, junior, or senior residents, and all non-residents.

The meal allowance gives a student the opportunity to enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (brunch & dinner on weekends) in the specified dining locations. Each student receives a number of guaranteed meals per week each semester, based on the plan selected. Each time a student eats in a specified dining room, one meal is subtracted from his/her weekly meal balance.

The Meal Plan Week starts on Monday and goes through Sunday. Meals not used do not carry over from week to week.

All board plans offer Flex Dollars which provide students the ability to make purchases from any Loyola dining facility. Flex Dollars carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year.

Declining Balance Plans

Declining balance meal plans can be used at any of the dining facilities on-campus.

The 1280 ($1,280/semester)
Designed for students who are likely to eat at the dining facilities on a regular basis, but not exclusively. This plan is available to sophomores, juniors or senior residents, and all non-residents.

The 685 ($685/semester)
